(Fairfax, Va.)—Susan Grimes has joined the staff of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) as the Director of Marketing and Communications, effective January 18, 2010.
Grimes will be responsible for oversight of the Association’s publications, marketing and public relations efforts, including print and electronic outreach and the Association’s Web site.
Jack Chiasson, CMP, CAE, Executive Director of NAILBA, announced the hiring, saying, “Susan’s extensive association management experience, outstanding communications skills and strategic planning ability increases NAILBA’s effectiveness in serving our membership. Her previous experience as a consultant to NAILBA provides a wealth of background information to draw upon immediately.”
Grimes served as a consultant to NAILBA in 2009, assisting with marketing, publications, membership and database transition projects. Susan has previously served in marketing, communications and events roles at the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Heart of America Foundation® in addition to other association and consulting positions. She holds a degree in Psychology and a minor in English from Radford University.
